It is that wonderful time of year again! The roads are iced over, the bears are hibernating (and having an ok season), the Metrodish is collapsing from snow, and the birds are frozen on the side of the road. That must mean it is time for No Pants Subway Ride!
Thats right! For the 3rd year in a row, we are braving the cold and taking off our pants to ride the Light Rail all the way from the Mall of America to Downtown Minneapolis and back! Last year we had great success with about 60 people de-pantsing. We even made it onto TLC's Mall Cops!
The same rules apply as every other year we have done this. These rules are very simple and so far, knock on wood, nobody has broken them.
Number 1: You MUST wear appropriate underwear. Nothing that shows too much, and nothing too skimpy. If your underwear does not meet our expectations you will be asked to put your pants back on. If you do not listen to us, we will ask that you leave.
Numero Dos: AT ALL TIMES, YOU MUST WEAR PANTS INSIDE THE MALL OF AMERICA!!! This means you do not show up without pants, and you do not enter the transit station without pants on.
C: Bring a back pack to put your pants in once you take them off. You may share a back pack among friends. So bring 3 friends and make one of them carry your pants around!
IV: Yes, you may have seen the TLC episode depicting cops ready to arrest people. While yes, this is true that if someone gets out of hand, they will take charge, THERE HAS NEVER EVER EVER BEEN AN ISSUE. We even had the Transit Police backing us up last year making sure nobody gave us any problems. You will be safe and you will not be arrested as long as you follow the rules we have provided. THIS EVENT IS 100% LEGAL AND for the most part APPROVED.
So grab your friends and bring them down to the No Pants Subway Ride! We promise you will have a FUN time! We have had a great amount success with this group and have been featured on the Improv Everywhere website mulitple times for our events in the past.
We hope this year to have 100 people ride the train with us. Our main goal is to have so many people that we will fill two trains!
